Laura and Dustin’s wedding was such a joy to photograph! I was so honored, humbled, and just didn’t know how blessed I was when these two asked me to be their photographer back in September.  Their wedding took place on November 8th, and I’m sorta sad that’s it’s all over.  Really, I want to keep working with these two! Not only were they such an excellent pair to photograph, but they’ve also become some of my great friends! The whole day was fabulous but some of my favorite moments of the day…

-getting to be with Laura as she was getting into her dress. Her mom had buttoned up her dress and slipped her purity ring onto one of the buttons.  It’s such a powerful symbol that was attached to her dress. I just absolutely loved it!

-Sending Laura out to her “first look” with her Dad and her Brother.  Two sweet and intimate moments that I was so happy to be there to capture.  Of course, I was boohooing like a baby behind camera.

-Dustin’s reaction to Laura walking down the aisle.  At one time he turned around to let some tears out and turned back around towards Laura as she started down the aisle.  Oh.. what a moment.

-Right as the ceremony ended, the sun started setting! It was pretty fast paced trying to get ALL of the family photos AND the bridal party photos AND photos of Dustin and Laura taken…boy! I was working hard! But some of the sweetest moments were taken just as the sun was about to go down.  Goodness, I love good lighting.

-Laura and Dustin’s first dance was probably one of the most beautiful first dance songs I’ve ever heard.  Once again, I was tearing up like a baby.

-At the end of the night, right before Laura and Dustin left through a sparkler exit, Laura and Dustin came to me with a giant bag! What?! Nothing like this ever happens!?! They wanted to take time out of their reception to hand me a gift?! What?! What a sweet, sweet moment for me.  They gave me a custom made pillow with a “H” on it for my future last name! It was such a sweet gift and I will cherish that moment forever! What amazing friends I have!! Ahh!

-Dustin and Laura running through the long line of sparklers was just so beautiful.  Can we go back and put that moment on repeat, please?!

Laura and Dustin…You two are some of the sweetest people I have ever met! Your relationship with each other is beautiful, together-your relationships with God is inspiring, and your love for everyone around you is just unforgettable.  Thank you for inviting me into your lives, letting me capture the first day of your lives together, and being such wonderful friends!
