I had the pleasure of hanging out with the Soto family last Saturday morning.  It was such a delight to be in the home of this sweet family, get to know everyone, and love on their two adorable children, Brayden who is 18 months, and newborn baby girl Cameran, who was only 6 days old! It was such great fun and I was so honored to get to be apart of this sweet new life they had just begun!

I offered to do a “in-home lifestyle session” with Hannah and her family since I am in the midsts of “practicing” and building my newborn photography portfolio. (You can see other newborn sessions I’ve taken here.) I believe I’m leaning towards these types of newborn sessions over the traditional posed sessions.  I feel like laying a newborn in a basket and photographing them sleep is absolutely wonderful, so sweet, and much harder than it looks.  While I’ll still remain open to the idea of doing that type of traditional newborn session with all the fuzzy blankets, props, baskets, and set up… I sort of like the non-posed, in-home, everyday look of the lifestyle sessions better, kind of like what Hannah had wanted for her family.
