What was supposed to be a weekend filled with sunshine, glorious mountain views, and shooting some incredible engagement sessions at the top peaks of the Appalachian mountains actually turned into a weekend filled with lots of rain, foggy views, and a weekends worth of cancellations and rescheduling. Needless to say, our first ever getaway weekend to Asheville, NC turned out to be quite a loss. It wasn’t what we were hoping for, and we hope that one of these days we’ll return with better weather!
It didn’t all turn out to be a complete waste though because Mary and Anthony were brave enough to weather the storm and the rain, and drive up the Blue Ridge Parkway to the top of Craggy Mountain and continue on with their engagement session as planned. We were able to get some great shots of these two and although we couldn’t see much from the top of the mountain, we were able to see just how much Mary and Anthony enjoy being with each other.
These two have a love that is so genuine and so present. When Anthony holds Mary tight, he just lights up. Mary glows with love and she’s just so much fun to watch when she’s laughing with Anthony. I just simply adore these two and had the best time with them!
Despite the weather, it was so delightful to have Mary+Anthony in front of my camera for their engagement session and I simply can’t wait for their wedding day at Rolling Hills Farm next April!
Mary+Anthony- Thank y’all for bringing us so much JOY while in Asheville. Y’all were our little bit of sunshine when there was none! April 2nd will be here before you know it and I can’t wait to be there on that day when you two lovebirds say “I Do”! Wishing you two simply the best for the rest of your engagement. Enjoy every single second of it! Much love! XO-Emma Loo
