When Jackie+Darrall said “I Do” next to the ocean with the warm late-summer sun setting behind them, it was a simply perfect day for two people who are just smitten with one another. These two were married at The Bay Watch Resort in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and I was so happy & honored to be a part of their wedding day. I mean, how much better could it get for this beach girl?! I simply LOVE traveling to the coast, so any chance I get…I’m THERE! (hint! hint! For all you future Emma Loo Brides! )
Some of my favorite moments from Jackie+Darrall’s big day include…
+Their ‘First Look’. This new “tradition” is becoming more popular among my couples, and I’m so happy that it is! I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again…First Looks are simply AMAZING! Jackie+Darrall weren’t originally planning on doing a First Look, but since they wanted a sunset ceremony and we were on a time constraint, a First Look was really the only way to go. I’m so glad we did. It gave these two some romantic time together-just the two of them, next to the ocean, and within each other’s arms. It was perfect.
+The girls reaction seeing Jackie for the first time in her dress! We all had to pick our jaws up off the floor! She was stunning!
+Seeing these two interact with their son, Caleb. They were all filled with so much joy and love on their wedding day. How sweet is that! And when he came down that aisle…oh my word! ADORABLE!
+Jackie’s niece+flower girl caught the bouquet and when she did, she just lost it. There were no words. SHE WAS SO EXCITED. Too cute!
+Dancing the night away! And boy, that’s what we did! Whip-It, Wobble, and Cha-Cha…even some random resort guests joined in the fun! Plus, lots of people from the resort were watching from their room balconies. Let’s just say-Jackie+Darrall’s people know how to party and entertain! Everyone had a blast!
-One word-Karaoke. Yes. It was taking place at the reception. And Yes. It was completely awesome. But no, sadly I did not do my signature rendition of “Crazy Rap”…I was tempted though. Very tempted…
