Monday is here, so you know what that means! Another Married Monday post! (Are you excited, yet?!) 🙂 

To be honest, I haven’t really had the time to think of any cool posts for my ‘Married Monday’ blog series, so I’ve just been kinda “wingin’ it” these last few weeks because taking the time to write a blog post about our little Newlywed life ends up being the last on my to-do list! Plus, since I haven’t had the time to come up with any new posts, I haven’t been able to shoot the images for the blogs as well…and we all know that nice pictures are always best when being included in a blog post!! Anyways…today I’ve decided to share a little iPhone Round Up of some of my favorite memories from this summer so far using the best camera a photographer has got….the one on hand! And since my iPhone is on hand 99.9% of the time for me, I always capture things on my phone rather than lugging my big camera bodies around!

So here’s a few of my favorite moments from our summer together so far! I can’t believe this summer is almost over!! Here it is almost mid-August and fall will be here before we know it! (Truth is though, I can’t wait for fall because that means our house is getting painted!! Yay!!) We’ve done SO much this summer and we still have a couple things left to do (like visit Atlanta and go to beach one more time for the weekend!) This summer we’ve spent most of our days outside, unfortunately not enjoying the outdoors and relaxing, but getting our house prepped and ready to paint…mainly pulling out old bushes landscaping and getting the outside in tip-top shape for the painters and landscapers to come in and do their thing! (I am just SO excited for it! You can read ALL about our house painting adventure HERE!)

We’ve even spent a few nights hanging out at a new brewery right in our downtown…It’s called Southern Range Craft and I am just SO excited to see lots of new places opening up in downtown Monroe! We NEED places like this to get our city thriving once more! If you haven’t been to Southern Range yet…you must visit! Another one of our favorite places to eat here in Monroe is Stone Table! They have a delicious Peanut Butter Banana & Bacon sandwich with homemade truffle fries…OUT OF THIS WORLD GOOD! Speaking of going out! We also tried the new JoBro’s restaurant in Belmont called Nellie’s Southern Kitchen.…and let me tell you! Nellie’s just added another reason to my “Why I Want to Live in Belmont Someday” list! It was SO good! Plus, there’s a live band that plays nightly and their just about as good as the food! 😉 We’ve met some friends up there a couple times and have loved it!

We’ve done a lot of traveling this summer…and we’re not finished yet! We’ve been to Charleston for our Anniversary trip…to the beach on vacation…to Sunset Beach/Southport for a weekend getaway….and a day-trip to Georgetown (one of our favorite spots!) Work has also called us to places like Hickory, Morganton, High Point and Raleigh.  We’re also planning to visit Atlanta in two weeks and we’re so excited!

This summer has felt like it’s been the summer of cats!! We’ve had a crazy time with our two crazy cats…and goodness…it’s been a mad house around here at times.  We absolutely LOVE both of our fur babies…but they don’t love each other! They fight ALL. THE. TIME. and it’s getting the best of us! We’re considering finding a new home for Sal since she’s the one who isn’t the most friendliest with Burt.  Plus, we’re planning on getting a Goldendoodle in December and she’ll be THE WORST when it comes to adapting to a new puppy in the house! (Burt doesn’t seem bothered by dogs at all…in fact, when we dog sat Max, my mom’s dog, a few weeks ago…Max was actually intimidated by Burt! Hehe!) It’s such a hard decision…but I think it’s going to be for the best…for both us and Sal! SO…if anyone knows of anybody who would like a loving kitty, let me know! Sal is a great cat, but really needs a home where she is the only animal in the house! She doesn’t like to share love or attention, that’s for sure!

We’ve had a BLAST so far this summer and we’ve enjoyed every bit of Newlywed life during this summer time! I don’t think I can claim us to be Newlyweds much longer though! It’s so hard to believe that we’ve been married now over a year! Crazy right?! Time sure does fly when you’re having too much fun!!
