Have you ever been invited to one of those cute parties where you can paint something very cute for your home? Usually it’s painting a particular scene on a canvas but it all involves wine, a fun girls night, and a chance to get your creative juices flowing! I’ve never done one of those kinds of parties before, but I’ve always wanted to…but I’m like…just how many canvases do I need hanging around my house…especially those canvases where I may have had hit the wine a little too hard! 😉 Last week I FINALLY got to attend a painting party, but it was something SO different & goodness, did I LOVE it! Instead of painting on canvas, we painted cute wooden door hangers…and oh my word! It was adorable!
Southern Brushes creates cute custom door hangers & they book in-home painting parties!! So instead of going to a party at a store, it’s hosted in a friends home…(LOVE that!) They bring EVERYTHING to you! The wooden door hangers, all of the paint, the brushes, the ribbons, the wire! All you need to do is provide the wine & friends (that’s the easy part, right?!) When you first book and plan for your party, you get to pick out a couple of designs that you can choose from…for our party it was all fall-themed, so we chose from a football or a pumpkin! You could also choose to have it customized by getting a letter cut out of the wood as well. I couldn’t decide which one I wanted, so I got both and I had an “H” cut out on the pumpkin.
We had a BLAST the other night with Southern Brushes and we look forward to hosting many more parties (get ready Southern Brushes Ladies!) What’s so incredibly awesome about Southern Brushes is that they help you all along the way so if you’re ever stuck in a painting rut or need some cute writing on the hanger, they’ll do it for you (which is something I should’ve taken advantage of! Their writing skills were AMAZING!) Then when you’re all finished with the painting part, they’ll attach a super cute bow to the top and heavy duty wire to hang it with! You leave the party with a cute wooden sign to hang on your front door or inside (I’ll be hanging the pumpkin on our front door during the fall and the football on our door during the playoffs when the Panthers make it BACK to the Superbowl this year and WIN!!)
