A Ballantyne Hotel Wedding in Charlotte, North Carolina
Get ready for ALL the feels for this wedding day y’all! I don’t know what I enjoyed photographing more during this wedding- the details? The Bridal Party? The crazy dance floor throughout the night (especially when Backstreet Boys came on!) Or was it the fact that Alicia and Michael were absolutely ONE OF THE SWEETEST COUPLES. EVER.
Alicia and Michael said “I Do” on a sunny (& hot!) Carolina afternoon at The Ballantyne Resort & Lodge. It was my first time ever shooting a full wedding at this venue and it did not disappoint. Alicia and Michael are both from Connecticut, so the pair made sure that their guests who traveled from long distances to celebrate their day with them enjoyed themselves throughout their entire day…and that they knew how thankful Alicia and Michael were that they had come so far for such a wonderful day! Making sure that Alicia and Mike got to see and take pictures with all of their family and friends who joined them on their big day, they decided to do a “photo receiving line” which was SO AWESOME! EVERYONE lined up to take pictures with the Bride and Groom! It was such a great way to celebrate with the guests who had traveled so far to celebrate this special couple!
I knew that capturing Alicia and Michael’s wedding day was going to bring me such JOY from the moment I met them at their engagement session. Those two love and care for each other so deeply. The way Michael looked at Alicia coming towards him down the aisle and how the two of them couldn’t hold back their emotions during their First Look…it was such a special moment to capture! I absolutely loved being the one to capture such a special day for Alicia and Michael! It was just an honor to document their first day as Husband and Wife!
