One of my new favorite things is getting to photograph a wedding in December! This December I was not only lucky to photograph one wedding…but THREE! December weddings have quickly stolen my heart because the winter light is so gorgeous and it’s not hot like the summer weddings I photograph! Emily and Jeremy’s wedding was on such a cold December day, but it was absolutely beautiful! The sun was shining so bright and Separk Mansion, one of my favorite venues in Charlotte, provided such a beautiful backdrop for their big day!! Not only did I get to photograph such beautiful winter wedding at one of my favorite venues, but I was able to capture such a special day for such an amazing couple! Emily and Jeremy just tug at my heart strings! Their love for one another is so strong and they make my job so incredibly easy! They are just adorable in front of my camera!
One of my favorite moments of the entire day was during the ceremony. Emily and Jeremy were married by Emily’s family friend and Pastor and when he choked up talking about “his adopted daughter”, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room! The tears of happiness kept coming as Emily and Jeremy exchanged their vows to one another. They had been looking forward to this day for so long and it was finally here! Through the tears, they said their vows, exchanged their rings, kissed, and were finally pronounced husband and wife! Their ceremony ended right at dusk and the celebration was right around the corner! Thankfully, Emily and Jeremy did a First Look before the ceremony and we got ALL of the portraits out of the way beforehand! First Looks may not be traditional, but they are so beneficial, especially for fall and winter weddings when the sunset is earlier in the day!
I absolutely loved all of the details from this wedding! Separk Mansion is absolutely gorgeous on its own, but after Emily’s touch, it was STUNNING!! I just loved celebrating alongside two wonderful families for such a wonderful couple. It was certainly a great wedding to help end out my 2016 wedding season!
