We had to reschedule these engagements for what felt like a MILLON times due to the unpredictable winter weather we’ve experienced here lately! As much as I hate to reschedule sessions due to weather, sometimes it’s just a necessary! Especially if my couples are seeking that pretty, glowing sunlight!  By the time our fifth rescheduled session came around, both Caitlin and I were ready to just give up! Even with a rainy forecast, we decided that it was time to shoot these engagements! Rain or shine…we were going to do these!!

I’m glad we decided to go along with the session so I could finally meet Caitlin and Andrew, but seriously after the first five minutes of shooting…the rain began! And it was a DOWNPOUR! As much as I was hoping for clear skies, we just didn’t get them! I felt terrible for Caitlin and Andrew because I was SO excited to photograph these two in their new home! (They just moved here from Pennsylvania!) Caitlin had SO many wonderful ideas for their session and it was exciting to get to peruse uptown in search of pretty places to photograph these two lovebirds!

The rain may have been pouring down on us, but that didn’t stop Caitlin and Andrew from having a great time together! And who needs sunshine when you have a couple that shines so bright! They made the best out of our rainy situation and it payed off! Instead of posing in the middle of city streets and sidewalks, we found covered breezeways and made our way into a quaint little bar for a drink, and even snuggled underneath the umbrella! It was quite an engagement session and definitely one session for the record books! (For the amount of rain, that’s for sure!) I’m so excited for these two and can’t wait to celebrate their best day ever with them! I just wish it was coming up soon so I can see them again! Guess I’ll have to wait until November! (Geez! Caitlin and Andrew…let’s get together for wine again while we wait!) Enjoy some of my absolute favorites of this sweet couple!
