Lindsay sent me an excited email back in October 2015. She was patiently waiting for the ring…but knew it was coming soon! Her sweet email made me tear up when I read it. Here was this AMAZING Bride-to-be wanting to book with me first and foremost…even before she got the ring!! 😉 There’s three things every Bride & Groom should do as soon as they get engaged–1.) pick a date 2.) choose their venue 3.) find their photographer! For Lindsay, she put finding the photographer FIRST on her list…and it made my photographer heart just bubble with delight! Her and Andy were engaged in a few short weeks after her first email and booked with me right away! It was truly so exciting…I think for ALL of us! 😉
Lindsay and Andy were married at the beautiful Alexander Homestead in Charlotte. It was such a perfect day for a late March wedding and I was so honored to be able to capture their special day amongst so many of their loving families and friends! Lindsay and Andy decided to host their wedding on a Friday evening which was a perfect way to spend time with their families the rest of the weekend! They loved having their families in the Queen City for a weekend — a city that they love! I hate that I’m JUST NOW able to post their wedding…but between a brand new website launch, a blog site that was in the works mid-wedding AND not slowing down at all since their wedding (hello busy wedding season!)…I wasn’t able to post until now! (Thanks for being so patient with me guys!)
This was my first ever Jewish wedding, complete with breaking of the glass during the ceremony and a hora dance during the reception! Oh my! What fun it was!!! Seeing Lindsay and Andy being lifted in chairs by their wedding guests was quite a thrill!! I’ve never…in all of my 90+ weddings…seen a wedding reception like theirs! It was PACKED with fun!
Mazel Tov Lindsay and Andy! It was a JOY to photograph your BEST DAY EVER! XO! Hope newlywed life is absolutely wonderful! Oh! And give Henry a big kiss for me! Darcy can’t wait to meet him!!
The bridesmaid bouquets were made from WOOD! They were SO delicate, but SO neat! I’ve never seen this done before…it was quite unique!
Lindsay’s brooch bouquet is her “something blue” AND “something borrowed!” Her & her sister have both used this bouquet in their weddings now & plan to pass it down in their families! It’s filled with their grandmother’s brooches! Such a beautiful way to display their family history! The glass inside the bag! Mazel Tov! Mazel Tov Lindsay + Andy! My favorite shot!! Loved getting snuggly with these two under the veil! That veil was GORGEOUS!
A MUST-HAVE photo on my shot list: Pic with the newlyweds! BONUS: Bride kisses you! YES!!! Love my Emma Loo Brides!
Alexander Homestead NEVER disappoints!
Cupcakes! The groom’s cousin is Haines from For Goodness Cakes! YUM! Father-Daughter dances make me cry EVERY. SINGLE. TIME! Rich with Remarkable Receptions kept everyone on the dance floor ALL NIGHT! Here’s the Hora! Woo!! EPIC MOMENT!
Of course, a wedding at Alexander Homestead isn’t complete without a gazebo pic! Snuck these two out for some sweet gazebo portraits!
