POSTED IN: Wedding Day, Weddings

I was welcomed with squeals of delight and warm hugs when I walked through the front door.  There’s always something so delightful when a Bride and her closet girlfriends choose to get ready in the Bride’s parents home.  It makes it all so much more comfortable and relaxed feeling.  When I started my tour around the home to find the best natural light for detail shots, Danielle’s older sister took me straight to her bedroom! She said “it’s where my wedding photographer shot my details 7+ years ago!” How funny is that! Two sisters. Two weddings. One same room used for detail shots! I just love that!

Danielle and Blake chose to exchange letters right before the ceremony, and it was such a sweet moment! I photographed Danielle reading her letter as she fought back the tears and Phillip photographed Blake while he was reading his letter.  I’m always so surprised by Phillip’s “eye” at each wedding, and this wedding he really blew me away! He captured one of my favorite pictures ever! Way to go Phillip!!

It was such an honor to capture their day! Even though it was at the end of December and it was a blistery cold day, our hearts were kept warm by witnessing such a sweet love story!

Danielle and Blake’s wedding was at the beautiful Grand Hall in Mount Holly.  It was my very first time at this venue and I absolutely LOVED it! It’s an old industry mill or warehouse of some sort that has been completely renovated and used as the city hall and police station for Mount Holly! I just love seeing older buildings be restored and reused! So much charm and history in the building itself! I also loved the venue because right next door was an old train depot.  I couldn’t resist using it for a backdrop for portraits! It was so unique and interesting and right behind it was where we took mostly all of the romantic portraits! So it was a win-win!! Enjoy some of my favorites from their big day! Congratulations Danielle and Blake! We are so very happy for you two and so honored to have captured your very special day!!
