Alyn and Erik were married in the middle of July at Trump National in Mooresville, NC.  Everything about this day was extremely special and so full of love.  After hours of waiting for the clouds to clear up, the sunshine finally came out the moment the wedding ceremony began! {It truly was such a beautiful sight to see Alyn walking down the aisle with the golden rays of sunshine behind her. She was stunning!}  Of course, Mother Nature took yet another turn, and shortly after the ceremony, the flood gates opened and the rain came down…oh and did it rain! However, the rain didn’t stop the party…that’s for sure!

I have so many favorite moments from this special day, it’s hard for me to pick just a few…

-Alyn organized this wedding day to a T. She was so good about communicating to the whole bridal party and families on when and where they were supposed to be somewhere.  We had all of the photos shot and out of the way before the ceremony even started! {This was very new for me…but worked SO well! I’m now on team “First Look”, that’s for sure! It may not be the most traditional wedding way…but it sure does give me more one-on-one time with the bridal party and family! It felt SO refreshing to have everything done after the “I do’s”!}

-The Groomsmen were such a hoot to work with! They were hilarious! Made me laugh like nothing else! Those guys were great!

-During Alyn and Erik’s First Look, Erik got down on one knee and gave Alyn her wedding gift {a beautiful blue sapphire ring}.  . What every woman wants to hear from her future husband was said in those words from Erik. As they both teared up, I was behind my camera just balling!  I still get goosebumps thinking about that moment!

-There was also quite a surprise for the bride and groom when a gorilla came out into the reception.  It was hilarious. I was laughing so hard, I almost missed some good photo ops. If you want to know the whole story behind the gorilla suit, you’ll have to ask Erik. {It’s an old family tradition I was told!}

I truly have been so blessed to be able to photograph and capture memories on two people’s most important day of their lives.  It’s such an honor to be given this opportunity, and I truly wouldn’t trade it for anything in this world.  Having clients like Alyn and Erik is amazing in itself-but making friends out of clients like those two…is simply awesome! I can’t wait to see what their love has in store for them!

Alyn+Erik…You both are such huge inspirations to me! It was such a pleasure and honor to work with you both, but even more than that-it was a joy to be able to become part of your family! You both, along with your families, were so inviting and made me feel so comfortable and at ease throughout the day.  Alyn-your hard work and organization before the wedding certainly paid off because the timing, the day, the venue…pretty much everything was perfect! Erik-your personality and your fun sense of humor was addicting to be around {and so easy to photograph!} I had a blast with your groomsmen and had so much fun throughout the day with everyone!
