God has blessed me with a passion, a gift, and the drive to turn what I love into my career. But my journey here wasn’t without its challenges.
In 2010, I found myself standing at a podium, delivering the eulogy at my dad’s funeral. He had lost his battle with heart disease, but in that profound loss, I gained a new perspective on life. My dad always taught me the importance of doing what I love, and his words became the spark I needed to take a leap of faith.
That spring, I bought my first DSLR camera, and everything changed. I went from a doubtful dreamer to a blossoming entrepreneur, pursuing photography with passion and purpose. Even now, years later, I hold tightly to my dad’s wisdom: If you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life.
I believe God has a purpose for every person and every moment, even the bittersweet ones. For me, losing my dad brought the calling to use my gift for something greater. While I’d give anything to have him here, I’ll always be thankful for the path God has set before me.
(And I like to think my dad had a hand in it, too, once he got to Heaven!)
Photography isn’t just a career—it’s my purpose. It allows me to capture life’s meaningful moments, build extraordinary relationships, and be a vessel for God’s love to shine through.
The Emma Loo Mission
God certainly has blessed me with a passion, an ability, and the drive to do what I love as my career.
In 2010, I was standing at a podium delivering a eulogy at my dad's funeral.
While my father had lost his battle to heart disease, I gained a new retrospect on life and on doing what I love...something my dad always instilled in me.
That spring, I bought my first DSLR camera and from that moment I have transformed from a doubtful dreamer into blossoming entrepreneur. Seven years later, I still reminisce on what my dad taught me;
that if I did what I loved, I would never have to work a day in my life.
God has a purpose and a calling for everyone and for every moment in their life.
For me, it was a bittersweet calling -- to lose my dad, but to gain a passion.
Although I'd give absolutely anything to have my Dad here with me,
I'll forever be thankful for the incredible gift that God has provided me.
