A Rolling Hill Farms Wedding in Monroe, North Carolina
Mary and Anthony’s wedding weekend was the last wedding in a double header wedding weekend for us. While some photographers don’t like to do two weddings (or even three weddings!) in one weekend, I don’t mind it at all! I love it actually! Being behind the camera is what I love to do, especially when I get to photograph such amazing couples! Mary and Anthony are truly two of the sweetest people you will ever meet!
I simply have adored working with them these past few months while planning for their wedding ever since their Asheville ENGAGEMENT SESSION and having lunch with them afterwards. I have so looked forward to their wedding day and for the chance to finally shoot a wedding at one of Monroe’s newest wedding venues, Rolling Hill Farms. Seriously y’all, that venue is just amazing! I highly recommend it!
Mary and Anthony’s love for one another is the kind of love that makes you want to rush home and hug your Husband and tell him how much you love him! It’s so genuine and radiant, and when I kept catching Anthony looking over at Mary, holding her hand, or rubbing her arm…oh! My heart just fluttered! Those two made me fall in love with my job all over again!
Some of my favorite moments of their wedding day included:
+Mary’s Grandmother’s reaction to seeing Mary in her gown for the very first time. She squealed with delight and exclaimed “Isn’t she the most beautiful Bride you have ever seen!?” My eyes swelled up!
+The Father’s First Look between Mary and her Dad. It was SUCH a sweet moment, and of course, my eyes swelled up all over again!
+Their ceremony from start to finish was a completely perfect moment of worship and entering into their marriage covenant with the Lord. Those two love the Lord and love each other! Just such a beautiful thing. During the ceremony, Mary and Anthony read their own charges to one another as well as their vows. There wasn’t a dry eye throughout the entire ceremony. It was such a beautiful moment!
+The romantic portrait time together with Mary and Anthony was just a moment of heaven for me! The lighting was wonderful, they were just so in love, and I couldn’t get enough!! Those two are just so sweet!
+Since Mary and Anthony are die hard UNC-Chapel Hill fans and part of the final 4 championship game was being played on their wedding night, there had to be a TV set up during their reception! It was so funny to watch all of the guests shouting for their Tarheels during the reception! What fun!
+Hugging Mary goodbye was bittersweet! Mary and I played tennis together for 3 years in high school and we had developed quite a friendship! She is truly one of my dearest friends from tennis and I said that to her when I was leaving. She and I both started getting teary-eyed. Being able to be a part of her special wedding day was truly an honor and one wedding that I’ll never forget!
Mary+Anthony-Thank y’all both so very much for including me on such a special day! I feel so honored to have captured your love story! Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness and a wonderful adventurous marriage ahead! Best of luck to you two & stay in touch! Much love, XO! -Emma Loo
