An Autumn Wedding at Byron’s South End
I simply can’t put into words how much I adore Kayla and Mike! They are the perfect definition of an Emma Loo Couple and I’m quite sad to see their October 1st wedding day come & go! It seemed like it would NEVER get here when we were in the early stages of booking & planning for their wedding. Now that it’s been a month since their wedding day, I wish we could rewind time & do it all over again. Kayla and Mike’s wedding day was just perfect! If you can think back to an absolutely perfect Charlotte day with perfect weather, clear Carolina blue skies above, and the best weather…it would be their day. My absolute favorite part of Kayla and Mike’s day was their first dance! Their dance lessons certainly paid off, because their first dance to Corey Smith’s ‘Carolina’ was absolutely amazing! Mike was twirling Kayla around the dance floor, while her dress floated across the dance floor. They were all smiles and it was just so cute! You can definitely tell that they are just so much in love…and their day one of the rest of their love story was quite an honor to capture.
Another one of my favorite moments from Kayla+Mike’s big day was seeing their relationships and their special bonds with their friends and families. Kayla and Mike definitely had lots of love surrounding them on their wedding day and it was quite evident that these two mean so much to so many people. During Family Formal time, I looked back at the large group of people that Kayla and Mike wanted pictures with and although it should’ve intimidated me for trying to fit SO many pictures in such a short time, it reminded me of why I love photographing weddings! It’s a couple’s very first day of the rest of their lives together as Husband and Wife…and their families coming together as one family is SO special! I know it’s A LOT of pictures to take, but these are those moments that need to be captured of such beautiful days!
Not only was the weather perfect, the First Dance without any missed steps, and the friends and families to make the day so much more special…but Kayla and Mike couldn’t take their eyes off one another all day! When they weren’t together, I would catch him glancing over at her from across the room, or when they were on the dance floor she was all smiles while dancing the night away with him. Their day couldn’t have been more amazing and I’m so honored to capture it all for them. I told Kayla when I returned their gallery to them that it was very hard to pick my favorites! So I hope you enjoy my absolute favorites from their beautiful day! Congratulations Kayla and Mike! I hope Newlywed life is treating y’all great! Love you both & I couldn’t be happier for you two! XO!
