Meeting Heather and Ben for the very first time was absolutely perfect! We immediately hit it off with these two, and how could we not?! When they pulled up and saw Darcy with us, they wanted to pet and love on her! Darc-Darc definitely stole the show at our meeting! It was so wonderful to FINALLY get to meet them after a spout of rescheduling due to the crazy winter weather we’ve had in Charlotte recently!

Since Heather and Ben love going to the mountains, they initially wanted to have their session done in Blowing Rock, NC which I was in heaven just hearing about it! They were even gracious enough to offer Phillip and I their family home up in Blowing Rock and I mean, what could be better?!?! However, Mother Nature had different plans for us so we had to reschedule to another weekend! Thankfully the weekend that we rescheduled to was beautiful but it wasn’t in the mountains or by waterfalls like we originally planned! It just so happened that THE WEEK of their shoot, I found a beautiful location that reminded me a little bit of the mountains and it was IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD! How lucky was that find?! I found it while taking Darcy for a walk and I’m SO glad that I ventured off the beaten path just a little bit because I found these fabulous locations right in our backyard! See! It sure pays to go explore!

Heather and Ben are getting married in downtown Charleston in mid-February and I am SO excited for them to say ‘I DO’! I simply can’t wait to capture their special day! Until then, enjoy some of my absolute favorites from their engagement session!
