Megan and Joel had a GORGEOUS wedding ceremony at a quaint little Episcopal church and a reception following at Rural Hill…a first for me! (Rural Hill did not disappoint, that’s for sure!) Their wedding day was the very last wedding of our 2016 year and it was such a pleasure to end our year off with such a wonderful wedding! The sunshine hid behind the clouds but that did not ruin the day for Megan and Joel! It may have been gloomy and defined true winter weather, but that did not damper Megan and Joel’s outlook on the day! Their love for one another was brighter than ever, and their joy was overflowing! You can tell it in the pictures below! Oh, I just adore those two!
I loved lots of moments throughout the course of the day, but my absolute FAVORITE moment had to be their first look! I had asked Joel if he was nervous, and he wasn’t! You could tell he was completely comfortable and SO ready to see his beautiful bride! Megan looked absolutely STUNNING in her long sleeve dress and when she walked out of the door headed to their first look, she looked so angelic! What was so adorable was the moment right before she told Joel to turn around! Megan shrugged her shoulders and let out this long breath as if to say “I’m ready for this adventure!” It was the sweetest split second of a moment that I had the honor of capturing! It’s little moments like that that make me so happy to be a wedding photographer!
I absolutely adore Megan and Joel, along with their families! This wasn’t the first time I got to capture a wedding for the Fox family! Joel’s sister and brother-in-law were, Grace and Mike, were part of the wedding party! I photographed Grace and Mike’s wedding day in April. It was so great seeing those two again and getting caught up on how newlywed life is treating them. This wedding was such a wonderful way to close out my 2016 wedding season! What made this wedding even more special is that 3 of my Emma Loo Brides were there! It was SO amazing to see Lauren and Grace! Now, adding Megan to the Emma Loo Bride squad!
