This post has been burning a hole in my computer ever since I shot this wedding!! However, it’s been a whirlwind of crazy-season over here and it seems like every time I feel like I get myself caught up with editing and getting ready to blog a wedding..there’s always another wedding or shoot that takes the place of blogging! From April 29th to June 24th, I’m shooting a total of 15 weddings…so it’s been a bit of a whirlwind spring wedding season! I know I should really be better at blogging…but I can’t help it! I’d rather return images to my couples within two weeks from their wedding day then mess with prepping and writing a blog post every other day! #RealTalk
Emily and Chad were college sweethearts and right before their first dance, their love story was read aloud to their family and friends. How they met…how they started dated…when they got engaged. Right after meeting Emily, Chad asked her to be his girlfriend by getting classmates of hers to hand her a single flower in every one of her classes. At the end of the day, after all of her classes were done, Emily met up with Chad and he asked her if she “wanted to go on an adventure and be his girlfriend”. Isn’t that the sweetest thing!? I know not many guys are like that, so Emily does have quite a catch! My guess is that Chad is going to keep surprising her like that for the rest of their life!
Their day was filled with joy and everything was absolutely perfect! …Well except Emily’s veil that came out right as her and Chad kissed and started up the aisle! She laughed it off and looked at her guests and just shrugged her shoulders and went with it! That’s what I love about these two! They were so “go with the flow” and enjoyed every second of their day. Even when the storm clouds rolled in and threatened portrait time before and right after the ceremony…they wouldn’t let it bother them! We were able to slip out after the storm came through and got some beautiful sunset shots right before their reception began! It was amazing! Speaking of the reception…the theme was “Better Together” so all of the tables were named something along that same theme. Like Mac-n-Cheese or Pancakes and Syrup. I had never seen that done before at a wedding and thought it was just the cutest!
Enjoy this beautiful wedding and some of my favorite images from Emily and Chad’s best day! Their married adventure is just getting started and I wish them nothing but the best!
Emily and Chad, you guys are such sweethearts! You two are filled with so much joy and I don’t think I ever saw you guys NOT smiling on wedding day! Thank you so much for giving us the honor to capture your love story and your greatest adventure yet! Enjoy reliving your wedding day!!
