Nikki and Drew were married in early October, on a sweet Carolina fall day.  There couldn’t have been a better day for a wedding than this…it was simply perfect.  These two are probably one of my most favorite couples to ever photograph.  There’s just something about them-he looks at her in such a caring and loving way…she is head over heels in love with him…they both are always so smitten with each other and that love is always present no matter what!

The wedding took place at Olde Sycamore Golf Plantation in Mint Hill, NC.  Some of my favorite moments from the wedding…even though there was A TON that I could come up with…

-Getting the pictures with the Groom and the Groomsmen.  Sometimes the guys don’t really want to pose for too many pictures…but these guys were truly hilarious! They were so fun to work with and they were up for really anything, which was awesome!  We wanted to pose for a funny ring shot of Drew. I told the guys to act super feminine/jealous/shocked while looking at Drew’s ring. I think they nailed it!! Great job guys!

-Watching Nikki walk down the aisle was such an emotional moment for me.  Like every wedding I photograph, it is extremely hard for me to not get emotional when I’m watching brides being walked down the aisle with their dads…I won’t be able to have that moment, and it just shakes me up a bit…yes, even when I’m behind camera.  Nikki lost her dad too, and we both have shared our stories with each other about dealing with the loss of such great men in our lives.  She was escorted down the aisle by her Godfather.

-Getting to be with Nikki and Drew for a little while to take pictures before the reception was amazing!!  It was so great to be able to be one-on-one with the couple for a bit during the picture time.  It gives them a chance to be alone together, and gives me a chance to take some shots of them.  We headed over to a fairway on the golf course just as the sun was setting.  It truly was such a beautiful and amazing moment with those two! I’ll never forget it!

Nikki+Drew…Y’all are absolutely wonderful! To be a part of your wedding day was a dream come true! Keep your love for one another alive! It’s so inspiring to see a love as great as yours! THANK YOU so much for being such an awesome couple! You guys are my SUPERHEROES!
