There’s something so special about capturing a love story in a place as peaceful and timeless as Wing Haven Gardens. Nestled in the heart of Charlotte, North Carolina, this hidden gem was the perfect location for Anna and Jacob’s spring engagement session.

Anna and Jacob are one of those couples you instantly adore. From the moment we started their session, it was clear how comfortable and connected they are—always smiling, always laughing, and so natural in front of the camera. They’re planning their wedding at the beautiful Van Landingham Estate in April 2026, and after spending time with them during their engagement shoot, I know their big day is going to be something truly special.

Wing Haven’s winding garden paths, lush greenery, and classic Southern charm set the tone for a romantic, relaxed morning together. The skies were overcast that day, which gave us the most beautiful soft, diffused light—like a giant natural softbox. It added a dreamy, painterly look to every photo and let all the natural colors of the garden truly shine. Anna wore a white dress that flowed beautifully in the breeze, and Jacob kept things timeless in a tailored navy suit jacket and light khakis. Together, they looked like they stepped right out of a storybook.

The way they looked at each other—so full of joy and calm—reminded me why I love engagement sessions so much. It’s not just about pretty pictures (though there are plenty of those!). It’s about capturing the feeling of this sweet season before they say “I do.”
